Athletic Program Athletics are an important part of the school’s program of education. Participation in athletics, both as a player and a spectator is a valuable part of the student’s educational experience. Such participation is a privilege that carries with it responsibilities to the school, team, student body, community, family and to the student themselves. As an athlete, he or she represents all of these groups. The athletic program teaches the ability to think and function as a member of the team and develop sportsmanship. Participating in or supporting our athletic teams, provides the experiences that will help students to develop physically, emotionally, and mentally. Students are stimulated to win, but the principles of good sportsmanship prevail at all times to enhance the educational value of the program. We are in the process of rebuilding the Our Lady of Hope/St. Luke’s Athletic program. We currently offer indoor and outdoor soccer, flag football, and t-ball. Participation in our athletic program is not limited to students of OLH/SL. We welcome all children from any school that desires to play for the Crusaders! If you would like more information about the Athletic Association, please contact one of our board members. We are always looking for coaches, volunteers for concessions, more children to join and sponsors! We look forward to continuing to add to our athletic program; with your help we can make it happen!
We will begin having monthly meetings in September and will be adding to our board. For more information and schedules, Check out www.leaguelineup.com/hope for all the latest updates. |
