Did you see the article in The Dundalk Eagle about our graduate, Gintas Bradunas? Gintas has been selected to participate in the program, "Teach for America". This program was founded in 1990 to, as its website notes, “ensure that kids growing up in poverty get an excellent education.”Teach For America works to place recent college graduates in classrooms in low-income urban and rural communities across the nation. Those accepted into TFA program pledge two years of teaching in a low-income school district. They earn a salary and benefits from the district in which they teach. At the end of the two-year program, TFA teachers earn their certification, allowing them to teach in any school district. Teach for America has a very rigid application process, accepting only 11 percent of those who apply. Gintas was one of those accepted. He will begin teaching this fall at Booker T. Washington Middle School in Baltimore this fall. We are very proud of you!!!
